Martha Luna is a fashion/lifestyle blogger and television host for the show In Style with Martha Luna. She was born in Caracas, Venezuela and has been based in New York, United States. Since 2010, She shows her talent through her fashion blog mdollnyc.com, inspiring many women in fashion and style daily. In 2015 she took her first step as a designer and launched a line called the Bilingual Collection in collaboration with Venezuelan designer Astrid Carolina.
Her second step as a designer was in collaboration with the designer Gionna Nicole from Avid Swim in the Caicos Collection, which was unveiled in February 2016 in New York City. It featured pieces of graphics and prints in contrast with white and black. Luna designed a special swimsuit edition called "La Luna/” which added a touch of her favorite color pink to the collection. These samples were exhibited during New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2016. As the CEO and face of the MNYC brand, Martha brings her fashionable and stylish spirit to the city for the creative and chic design and manufacture of our products.
Astrid Carolina Barrios is an artist and designer based in Venezuela. She loves the arts, colors, shapes, textures and the aesthetics of fashion. Her dynamic personality leads her to always look for different, unique and original designs on a road of art and design, which she’s walked since she was a child. It has been the passion that fuels her life. After years of hard work, learning, evolving and constantly improving in technical design, color management, expression, hand embroidery and painting, Barrios emerged as an independent designer and launched a line of handbags and accessories for women called MINTTU based in Venezuela, and she later worked with Martha Luna on The Bilingual Collection in 2015. In MNYC Astrid brings the artistic, innovative spirit to carry out the design and manufacture of our products.
